about

Reportedly written while mowing his Grandparent's lawn, In Deja Voodoo
Jeremy is describing how time can pass at different speeds depending on one's state of mind, while also suggesting to make the most of your time and not repeat nor regret the mistakes of the past but instead learn from them.

Perhaps the most vital message is that in the middle of a hectic and busy day on the grind it is important to find the time to take a moment to breathe slow and clear your mind by doing something you enjoy.
Hence the phrase "and I still got time to water my lawn".

lyrics

Every day is slow, but the hours creep fast.
So go home, blow your mind, you know it won't last.
Please don't resurrect the past, please don't resurrect the past.

Deja Voodoo, Deja Voodoo.

So let the water boil to nothin and go nowhere,
so you can breather the steam and fall asleep before the dawn.
And I still got time to water my lawn.

If you live in a hurry you, might die in a hurry too.
So see through what you do.

Deja Voodoo, Deja Voodoo

Now I mean it when I say that music is magic,
when it loses the soul it's a story so tragic,
it's true what they say about rock and roll,
but it's sad when music lose the soul.

Deja Voodoo, Deja Voodoo.
